Product Information

How Weights Are Applied
- Clip-On Weight Application -

1. Determine amount of weight and position on the wheel required to correct imbalance.

2. Determine correct series (type) of weight to install.

    a. Steel Wheels
Cars: Use a P series weight.
Trucks: Use a TN series weight.

    b. Alloy Wheels

      i. Use the 18082 Make-Model-Year OE application chart to determine the correct series.

      OR

ii. Use the RGP1 rim gauge to determine the correct series by placing the template against the wheel lip until a match is found.

If no listing or match is found, or if the wheel has no lip, use QuikStik® adhesive weights (200624).
- Adhesive Weight Application -

1. For proper adhesion, temperature should be above 50° F.

2. Determine amount of weight required to correct imbalance.

3. Apply a suitable cleaning agent on the area where weight is to be applied. (Be sure to test the cleaning agent on a small area to ensure it will not damage the wheel's finish.)

4. Wipe area clean and dry.

5. Be sure not to touch the cleaned surface.

6. Using the tab on the adhesive weight, peel off the protective backing without touching the adhesive.

7. Firmly press the adhesive weight on the wheel, contouring the weight to the wheel.
